DigiNomad Retreats (2022 - Present)
An accommodation exclusively created for the digital nomad community located in Cape Town, South Africa. As Director, Joshua navigated an 18-month renovation project and creation of this international business. He manages the marketing & operations of this accommodation that combines the best of a boutique hotel, high-end hostel, Airbnb and wellness retreat.
Global Citizen Journeys (2016 - Present)
A boutique travel agency creating culturally-immersive experiences in over 100+ countries. As President and Travel Designer, Joshua works with clients to create their ideal journey using local guides, luxury & boutique accommodations and curating experiences to better understand the local customs and traditions.
JLS Properties (2016 - Present)
A rental real estate and management company catering to the student rental market in Oxford, OH and tourism community in Cape Town, South Africa. As Managing Director, Joshua is responsible for the portfolio growth and operations of the properties including the management of staff, budgeting, marketing, sales and renovations/maintenance.
Millennials in Travel (2012 - Present)
A career development & networking organization for young professionals in the travel industry. As Co-founder and Director of Strategic Development, Joshua's role is to create a sustainable model for organizational growth through chapter development & implementation of new programs and industry relationships as well as operational efficiencies.
Flyaways (2024 - Present)
An upcoming unscripted television show highlighting unique experiences and international philanthropies across the globe through the eyes of two women travelers with an embedded call-to-action. As Executive Producer, Joshua is responsible for sourcing destinations, properties and captivating content as well as arranging travel logistics.

A tourism consultation company for government, technology, and entertainment organizations. As President, Joshua works with foreign governments and companies on marketing and sales strategies, product development, sustainable tourism initiatives and cross-sectoral cooperative partnerships.
Goway Travel (2019 - 2020)
An international tour operator offering a variety of styles of travel across the globe. As Tourism Partnerships Manager, Joshua was responsible for developing relationships with tourism boards across the globe and managing cooperative marketing campaigns with foreign governments to increase consumer awareness and drive sales.
South African Tourism (2018 - 2019)
The government agency for the promotion of tourism to the country of South Africa. As Trade Relations Manager for the West Coast, Joshua educated the North American travel trade community through training activities, assisted with product development and marketing efforts among tour operators and was a tourism resource for the South African travel trade on effective strategies.
Travcoa (2012 - 2016)
A luxury tour operator with escorted trips and privately guided journeys in 100+ countries. As Associate Director of Private Travel, Joshua developed pre-designed luxury programs on all 7 continents, managed a team of custom travel consultants and oversaw the portfolio’s marketing efforts while engaged in cooperative business development initiatives.
45 Degrees Marketing (2010 - 2012)
A US based representation company for international operators and hotels. As Co-founder, Joshua was responsible for client acquisition, brand development, B2B training, and marketing support for clients as well as being the extension in niche sectors of other brands such as Asia Reps and Travel Marketing Worldwide.
Virtuoso (2007 - 2010)
A luxury tourism consortia managing strategic marketing and trade training opportunities. As Account Manager for Tourism Boards, Joshua prospected new government relationships and created cohesive integrated marketing strategies between tourism boards & travel trade through direct mail, email marketing, publications, events & training.
